I am a lecturer in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota. My work focuses on personal learning networks, online learning in higher education, and instructional design in workplace learning. My current research applies post-intentional phenomenology to better understand lived experiences in distance learning. My future work will extend the research on connectedness to communities of practice as well as personal and organizational knowledge management.
I teach foundational and advanced courses on learning theory, instructional design, online learning, and multimedia design and development. In service to the profession, I review for journals and conferences. My background is in instructional design and development, specializing in e-learning in business and industry including finance, defense, healthcare, and energy sectors.
